Looking for passionate and called individuals to serve in the areas of:

Street Outreach, Homeless Outreach, Food Outreach, Elderly Outreach, Youth Outreach, Prison OutreachSocial Media, Creative Arts, Administration, Hip-Hop Concerts, Block Parties, Community Building, Church Planting, Missions Base Maintenance, Kid's Ministry, Mission Teams and Leadership.

Urban Missionary qualifications include:

Minimum of 35 hours/week, Background check, Compassion for the poor and marginalized, Flexible, Reliable, Responsible, Coachable, Resourceful, Trustworthy, Willing to accept challenges.

FAQs

The cost breakdown is as follows. (Our team will work with you to rally your network to raise the necessary funds)
Option 1: Monthly - $500
Option 2: Pay upfront - $5,000
Food is not provided, expect to raise an extra amount on top of the total cost to pay for your food during your urban missionary experience.
We have a network of community apartments. You will be placed into one of these community apartments, where you will live with other urban missionaries, make crazy memories, and grow in your relationship with Jesus. Housing is included in the tuition cost.
If you are coming without a vehicle, we recommend that you raise an additional $150-$200/month to pay for your local transport during your urban missionary experience.
Each week will consist of training sessions, worship and prayer, outreach, and project hours. This Experience is different than attending a normal training program. City Takers carries an intentional schedule that flows seamlessly with our established urban outreach initiatives and community. All of us participate in serving and are flexible as needs arise. Our expectation is that during this experience you will set aside any extra-curricular trips and/or employment and engage wholeheartedly to seek God with the City Takers community here in Atlanta for the full experience.
City Takers is a community of self-funded missionaries. If you are accepted to join us this January, we will help walk you through the fundraising process as you prepare to join the City Takers Movement!
