What do you think it means to be free? A lot of people think being free means having the ability to do whatever you want with no restrictions. A lot of people think that living for Jesus will stop you from living a free life. KB’s song “No Chains” addresses this and shares the opposite idea. He talks about how true freedom comes from Jesus and how he set us free from the bondage sin.

What are some things that you are afraid of? What have those fears caused you to miss out on? One of the biggest weapons that the devil uses against us so that we never live to our full potential is fear. In Lecrae’s song “Fear” he talks about some of the fears that he’s dealt with.

Do you ever feel like you’re surrounded by negativity? Chances are that every day you hear much more negative talk than you do positive. We live in a society where gossip and bad mouthing others is normal. Not only is it normal, it’s constantly put in our faces through TV, music, social media, etc.

Has someone ever hurt you so bad that it made it difficult to forgive them? Have you ever struggled to love someone even though you know that God tells us to love others? Sometimes doing what God calls us to do can be a struggle. Mission talks about this in his song “struggle”.

Have you ever experienced something different or new that made you uncomfortable? Nobody likes the feeling of being uncomfortable. However, being uncomfortable is necessary for growth. In Andy Mineo’s song “Uncomfortable” he talks about how becoming too comfortable for too long can stop us from growing, keep us from fulfilling our purpose and ultimately can kill us.

Have you ever felt lost in life? Have you ever wondered what your purpose was in life or struggled with finding your identity? In GLO’s song “Good Good Father” he talks about how we are all children of God and how God, our father, gives us direction, confidence and security.

Sometimes the battles that we face in life can feel that way. In KB’s song “Armies” he reminds us that no matter what comes against us, if we have God on our side we have no reason to be afraid.
